Band To Watch: Tennis

Tennis is Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore, a husband/wife duo. The ideo for their project began one day a couple of years ago when Alaina made fun of Patrick for playing Tennis in college, which is an elitist rich man’s sport. A year later the two fled their hometown Denver to spend eight months sailing and exploring the North Atlantic coast. During their adventures they began writing music together documenting their experiences.

I already posted their beautiful small summer gem “Marathon” a month ago, but it’s not only this song that amazes me. All their songs are great!

Guerolito is Wwoofing in England!

I don’t think that everybody knows what Wwoofing is. So here a short information: World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (also known as Willing Workers on Organic Farms) (WWOOF) is a loose network of national organisations which facilitate the placement of volunteers on organic farms. While there are WWOOF hosts in 99 countries around the world, there is no central list or organisation encompassing all WWOOF hosts. (wikipedia.org)

And me, I’m leaving Switzerland on Friday for two full months in England. As I don’t know if I have access to the internet everywhere I’ll stay, it is not sure how many posts there will be in the next two months. So please don’t be mad at me when there is nothing new on the blog somedays 🙂 But of course there will be the monthly guerolitoplaylists.

For now, I post three new songs which are all really nice summer tunes! Here you go:

Boat Beam – “The Rain Pauly”

A beautiful, soft indie pop gem by a Spanish/Australian/American-girl-three piece which released their debut “Puzzle Shapes” last year.

Magic Kids – “Summer”

American band whose debut album will be released in August. The song has the Beach Boys sense of harmony and melody and is really relaxing.

Tennis – “Marathon”

Perfect pop song from Denver husband + wife duo, written on the band’s recent adventures on the high sea.
